Theological Theme: The strength to obey God-Father, Son and Spirit, and join Him on mission, does not come from within us but from God’s empowering Spirit.
Christ Connection: God called Gideon to be part of His plan to defeat the enemy, and He went to great lengths to assure Gideon of His presence and power. Through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, God now assures us of His presence and power as we take part in His plan of worldwide redemption.
Missional Application: God calls us to service, trusting that the He Who sends is also the God who strengthens us for the task through His Spirit.
Jesus is the Ultimate Atonement and Sacrifice, Part 2

Theological Theme: The sin offering represented the purification of the people before Our Father. The restitution offering addressed the damage of depriving others of their rightful due, and it served to cleanse the offender’s conscience.
Christ Connection: These offerings point forward to Christ, whose work purifies our hearts, cleanses our consciences, and frees us to do good deeds for His glory.
Missional Application: God the Holy Spirit calls us to offer others the hope of purification and cleansing that comes only through trusting in Jesus Christ.

The Covenant-making Triune God Tests Abraham

Theological Theme: Faith is trusting in God to keep His promise to provide salvation.
Christ Connection: Isaac’s question “Where is the lamb for the sacrifice?” echoes through the pages of the Old Testament and is ultimately answered at the beginning of the New Testament when John the Baptist sees Jesus of Nazareth and declares, “Behold the Lamb!”
Missional Application: God calls us to be people of faith who, like Abraham, are so filled with confidence in God’s resurrection power that we are willing to sacrifice for His mission.
Let’s Get TWO-gether With Jesus And Go!, pt.3
In this last and year-end message in a series about discerning God’s vision for His congregation at New Life Fellowship of Baltimore. MD., we continue asking “How is Jesus speaking to us RIGHT NOW through these scriptures and directing us in His mission locally?”
This message of God’s Good News continues to get very specific about what participation with Christ looks like for us in this world! It asks and discerns: Where and with whom do we begin? How do we address healing in our day as we proclaim Jesus? How should we steward Jesus’ money, and how will we live in Jesus’ peace – on mission with him – as sinners in THIS broken world?
The message can be summarized in this quote:
“There is no way to peace along the way of safety. For peace must be dared, it is itself the great venture, and can never be safe. Peace is the opposite of security… To look for guarantees is to want to protect oneself. Peace means giving oneself completely to God’s commandment, wanting no security, but in faith and obedience laying down the destiny of the nations in the hand of Almighty God, not trying to direct it for selfish purposes. Battles are won, not with weapons, but with God. They are won when the way leads to the cross.” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer, 1934 [Renate Bethge’s Dietrich Bonhoeffer: A Brief Life]

Taste And See That The Lord Is Good!
In this Gospel Message, Pastor Richard Andrews of New Life Fellowship of Baltimore, Proclaims the GOOD NEWS of The God Revealed in Jesus Christ with a message entitled “Taste And See That The Lord Is Good!” and asks the question “Are we ready to take that exhortation we find in Psalms 34 and make it something we LIVE BY, LIVE THROUGH and LIVE WITH?”
In this message we learn what trials REALLY represent and hear that:
- Our foolishness does NOT determine God’s actions towards us! There is no circumstance we can go through that is too big or complicated that can change who God is!
- No matter the circumstance, God invites us to open up our mouths and have an experience with him. God invites us to experience HIS presence.
- Our trials help us to taste and see God’s goodness. They make God REAL. The more we TASTE, the more we SEE, the more we TRUST!
Listen and be comforted knowing that God loves us too much not to let us experience HIM, and because of that there WILL be points of pain and trials.

Participation In The Coming Of Jesus Christ…!, part 7
In this 7th and last message of the Gospel series at New Life Fellowship of Baltimore, Maryland, entitled: “Participation in the Coming of Jesus Christ…!“, Pastor Tim continues to Proclaim the Good News of the God Revealed in Jesus! In particular he helps us ask and answer:
“If God is HERE, and the Life of the Age to come has BEGUN, and our LIFE HERE HAS MEANING TOO, then why do we yet look for Jesus’ Reappearance?”
Pastor T also considers:
- What we can and should be doing as we wait for Jesus’ reappearance
- How we can take part in paying God the highest compliment ever in the meantime,
- And responds to 3 questions from the audience in the light of the Jesus proclaimed in this series
