Theological Theme: Faith is trusting in God to keep His promise to provide salvation.
Christ Connection: Isaac’s question “Where is the lamb for the sacrifice?” echoes through the pages of the Old Testament and is ultimately answered at the beginning of the New Testament when John the Baptist sees Jesus of Nazareth and declares, “Behold the Lamb!”
Missional Application: God calls us to be people of faith who, like Abraham, are so filled with confidence in God’s resurrection power that we are willing to sacrifice for His mission.

This message proclaims that you have solidarity with God in even your darkest hour because of God in Christ! In Christ Jesus has joined us in our dying – Indeed in Christ, God died! – uniting us to Himself in His Resurrection. Therefore, you can live NOW IN HOPE for your human life because:
When Jesus Christ lived, he lived your life, our life. When Jesus died, he died your death, our death. When Jesus rose and ascended to his Father, you rose, we rose, and all humanity mysteriously and truly ascended to his Father in Him!
Indeed, you are looking for Jesus, Who promised to draw all men to Himself! You, we, truly do live in Jesus The Resurrection and The Life! So, do you live in Him???? 🙂

In this message of Good News we are reminded of the Good News that because your story is included, graciously, in the Story of God, Father, Son and Spirit, you get to participate with Him by sharing your story (even some of the good, bad, and ugly!) with your family, friends and neighbors to God’s glory!
God is not just the One Being and Relationship of God, Father, Son and Spirit in Deed. God also Communicates in Word or Story! In fact, God commands us to be ready to share our story with others! Plus, after participating in all those good deeds toward others in Christ’s name, you don’t want to be “totally quiet” and let others mistake you for Jesus do you??? hahaha

You and Time
Have you ever thought much at all about what we call Eternal Life? Do you really want to live forever? I was once asked whether I wanted to live forever by a well-meaning street evangelist. I replied, “Depends on what the life will be like.” That is a factor to consider is it not. I think most of us would answer, “Yes,” when asked the same question assuming that our eternal existence will be a happy and pleasant one.
But have you ever considered how this is possible? In his book, Space, Time, and Resurrection, T. F. Torrance reminds us that time is in creation… creation is not in time. In other words, time is a created thing and the Father, Son, and Spirit are not limited to nor confined to time. We often hear rightly that God is outside of time. That is true but we must also keep in mind that He has also entered into our space and time in the person of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, that brings me to the main and final point. In the Incarnation, humanity has been brought into full and objective union with the Triune God of Grace in Jesus. Jesus became a human just like us! Therefore, if God, who is outside of space and time, truly entered into the contingent world of creaturely being as a human, then necessarily all of humanity is taken up into his unbounded freedom from limitation in space and time.
You see, you and I will live forever, not because something magical will be done to make our bodies immune to disease, resistant to aging and wear and tear.
We will live forever because we have been brought into permanent and full union with He who is outside of time. There is no time for us now. Sure, the overlap between our present selves and our glorified selves needs time to function and relate to the world around us but someday time will be but a memory.
Here’s to living forever and getting to know each of you in eternity!

15.10.18 How To Share God’s Good News With Others, pt.5 (1 Cor 15, Rev 21.22-26) – TAH
As the saying goes, you can live one minute without air but not one second without hope! Could you use some hope and clarity about your present purpose and destiny?; hope about life even in this present evil age? If you answered YES then this is a message for you! In this message of God’s Good News get good Christian responses to your questions like:
Why am I working so hard and long on the job and in the home? Why am I hanging in there in my marriage and relationships? Why am I attending this particular school of higher learning? Why should I take time off from work and rest, or take a vacation! Why am I learning to be so patient, peaceful, and persevering in traffic, and even in tragedy?! Why am I learning to be so prickly, perturbing, and provoking even though I am by nature more meek, shy and non-disturbing?
Bottom line: Understand the importance of sharing Jesus’ Hope with others in word and deed as we participate with Him, presently, in the Spirit!
