Jesus’ cleansing of the Temple is a sign to humanity of the transformation that he is bringing to our human nature and the whole creation.

Jonathan,

Just listened to your sermon in our home church today, and I realized that I had never heard the cleansing of the Temple compared to Jesus’s cleansing humanity and transforming us. Thanks!

Thanks, Nan! I’m pretty sure I got the idea from someone else – maybe Robert Capon or Baxter Kruger – you know us preachers, we’re always “stealing” each others’ ideas.
